There is no reason to fear corporate newsletters – whether you are currently doing one or thinking about starting one. Newsletters can be fun, and dare I say, actually pretty simple to develop. A brainstorming session is a good first step. Jot down a few ideas about what you would like to include in the newsletter – even random thoughts can be turned into interesting copy!
Here are a few suggestions:
Has your company undergone any facility revamping? A new lab? New offices? Refurbished manufacturing plant? Your customers will be glad to know that you are upgrading your facilities and keeping up-to-date with the newest equipment.
New employees? A few lines about the new employees’ duties and background, is a great way to introduce them to your customers. Make sure to include a photo of the employee!
New products? Changes to current products? A newsletter is a great way to get this information out to your customers and let them know about new product developments at your company.
Do you offer training programs? Seminars? Get that information out so your customers can learn more about your services.
Will you be attending any trade shows? Symposiums? Provide the date and place, and booth numbers if appropriate, and your customers can visit you at these functions.
